Beachy day-Mahabalipuram

In this blog, let’s go for a beachy walk with crabs and have fun with the shores of Mahabalipuram. Let’s feel the summer vibes of Mahabalipuram’s hotness. Also let’s go to old Shore temple nearby.

Mahabalipuram is 57 km from Chennai. Its popularly known for its old architecture, aged more than 500 years. As it is situated in between two major cities, travelling to this place is bit easy. Mahabalipuram has two signature spots.

Two spots

One is Shore temple and another one is Five Rathnas. The beach of Mahabalipuram is worth playing .Full of breezy blue sea, chasing sunny white clouds ,little cute fishing boats near the seashores.

Sea shells from the shore gives some unfamiliar pleasant feel .Isn’t it? We used to collect those little cute white sea shells. Sea shells generally leave in the sea shore sand .Its a small guest to the seashore .

Sea shells of Mahabalipuram

Collecting the seashells and making them a good craft. It’s very useful for sea shore habituated people. Also we need to be very careful when picking up the sea shells which are attached with each other .In between the sea shells ,some stingy creature would be there .It is a sea living creature.

Naughty carbs

Crabs give the worst feeling .I will tell you the worst feel. It gives me terrible fear. Crabs will be playing here and there. I thought crabs will roam and settle in a congested place. But my guess was wrong .

I sat in the sea shore sand without seeing down the sand. As a careless mindset of mine – as always .I sat down without seeing the crabs which were roaming in the sand peacefully.

Terrible feel

One of my friends suddenly saw a crab which was very close to me. She shouted ,”idiot ,there is a crab near to you ,Just stand up”. ”Have you lost sense, Can’t you see the crab which is very close to you, are you becoming blind? ”The next second my heart skipped its beat .I got goosebumps badly. Fortunately crab didn’t get into me and bite .

Careless girl

I have a monkey and careless mind, I keep on having a feel like crabs went into my dress. I was asking each and every second that any crabs were there in my dress. I also keep on searching for crabs over my dress. I know ,I’m thinking nonsense as my friend said “have you lost your sense”.I slowly told “yes”…haha .I would really grateful to god because god gave them to bear my nonsense to its core.

Shores

One stupid incident got over just now. Let’s go to the shore temple .Shore temple gave a positive feel. The view was also wow good. Lord Shiv and his beloved love lord Parvathi old statues were the main beauty of this Mahabalipuram shore temple.

Long ago

This has some entry ticket .Foreign travelers need to around 500 Indian rupees. Forty rupees for Indians. The Shore temple covers vast area near the sea. It has two monumental towers. Still many monuments were under the sea it seems. Some archaeological research has been still going on till now. The architecture of the old time took me back .Long years ago…

One more spot

The next one is Five Rathas.The designs were encrypted in the caves.

It demonstrate old age architecture .Moving forward mostly people will visit here to chill for a day or two. Three to four places were there but we didn’t visit due to the sunny weather .The climate was damn hot in the month of March.

Kalpakkam

There is a place named Kalpakam near to Mahabalipuram. Kalpakkam is a small town which is situated near to mahabalipuram. Kalpakkam has a atomic power station. People who were all working in the power station would have citizenship in Kalpakkam township. Security members were high in ratio due to the presence of the atomic power station.

Pondicherry

Pondicherry is a union territory. It is situated near Mahabalipuram .It is a French colony.I have written a separate blog. Check that too. Auroville is a place which is near to Pondicherry. The main attraction is golden globe of Auroville. Some of the famous places in pondicherry are: Rock beach ,French colony buildings, Chummabar boat house, East coast road, auro beach.

Ans yes, It was a good day in Mahabalipuram. Killing the time in the sea shore is my hobby. I loved it as usual.
