A Peaceful Trip – Gaya, Bodh Gaya

Bodh Gaya ,which is located in the Northeastern side of our country India. In this blog, we will experience a piece of good vibration from Bodh Gaya . This is a peaceful place. One of the greatest powers! Let’s roam the streets of Bodh Gaya and Gaya.

Gaya Calls

I first reached Gaya. Gaya is 25 kilometres from Bodh Gaya. Gaya is famous for many handlooms and Buddhist sculptures .Gaya is full of temples where Buddhist monks would stay. The foreign countries most likely Thailand, China, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar- those people will spend their time by visiting Gaya and Bodh Gaya. They will visit at least once in a year.

Streets of Gaya

Gaya has all transport facilities. It is very easy to roam and purchase anything in the streets of Gaya with a rickshaw. The rickshaw driver would charge some Indian rupees of 40 or 50 .They would suggest some new streets in Gaya to visit . Food shops are yummy all over the streets of Gaya. Also handlooms and craftworks are famous. The various colorful sculptures of Lord Buddha and Buddhist monks were sold here. Everywhere, in the nook and corners of Gaya streets are filled with Buddhist temples and peace.

Into Bodh Gaya

Let’s go to the main attraction of Bodh Gaya. Transport was more comfortable in Bodh Gaya as many travellers would come here to visit Maha Bodhi .The people from all other countries come here in order to express their love towards Lord Buddha .This place is much more crowded than I expected. Security check up is mandatory due to overpopulation. The different cultures and attire of the people united with one oath named “love” for Lord Buddha. It is overwhelming to enter into this new world of happiness. As most of the  people are speaking  unique languages, I didn’t even know a single word in their conversation.

Land of PeaceBodh Gaya

At that moment ,I even had a strong doubt like “Where am I ?” India or else in some other country .Though it is India ,it took me a few minutes to make up my mind that I’m in India. There were a tremendous amount of shops outside the Maha Bodhi street. Travellers are busy buying all the new products of Lord Buddha toys and statues .As there was a huge crowd , each one should be keeping an eye towards their family members . If they are lost in the crowd it is somewhat difficult to find them again and to align again.

Maha BodhiBodh Gaya

This place gave good vibes such as peace and calmness. As mobile phone usage is also prohibited and taking pictures of this old temple is also prohibited, I didn’t take any pictures here. I held my head up ,the monumental tower was so high. Basically made of marble I guess. The designs over the monumental tower are so good. The area of the temple is vast.

Cute Child

I moved ahead bit by bit in the queue. Barefoot in the mild sun .After waiting a few minutes in the queue ,as it moves very slowly, I saw the main shrines of Maha Bodhi. Even though I don’t know what to do there inside the shrine ,I kept my mouth zipped. I have a habit of talking too much, so I gave some rest to my mouth for a while. In Front of me, a Chinese woman was holding a child in her arms and reciting some slogans so effortlessly.

Even Though I didn’t understand anything ,I listened to it with full focus rather than looking into the shrine .I saw the shrine for 10 seconds to 40 seconds .Later ,I saw only that little cute child which the Chinese woman was having. That child is so adorable that I can’t take my eyes off of her. She was a cute diversion .Her smile was also adorable . Child’s smile is the purest form of god.

Cultures

The queue dissolves after seeing the shrine .The place was surrounded by love, peace, calmness. Maha bodhi’s environment was calm even though it was crowded. I started to take a walk to see the backyards also. We need to take a walk in a circle form of the shrine to get blessings from the Lord Buddha. So I just took a long circle walk . The diameter is large ,over that many monks were meditating without any distractions, some people were doing yoga which is very good for health, some people were chanting Buddhist slogans while sitting in the bare grasslands, and a few small child monks were worshipping the highest god.

Teens

The little monks are looking like teenagers. They are giving their best to worship the god. I was wondering by seeing the teenagers like this. Teenagers mostly like to enjoy their teen life by playing, going out to the cinemas and malls, eating in new restaurants ,exploring new adventures and doing other fun activities .But ,still I have a doubt that “How did they worship the god full time ?”

I can’t even sit for an hour completely but they are sitting almost all the time in their life by meditating and chanting slogans. Everything is their perspective of life, right?. So they like to be in peace by worshipping their god. If it gives them happiness and peace for their life then it must be fine for them. Everyone has different opinions and thoughts. Isn’t it?

Enlightened

There was a big tree , where Lord Buddha sat there and meditated ,finally got enlightened. Imagine it was just not a tree, it was a place where god sat . It was known as Maha Bodhi tree. I got goosebumps when I heard . “God sat there and enlightened”. I was speechless. Visit once here to witness the place where God sat. Nothing will be greater than this feel of viewing the Maha Bodhi tree once in a lifetime.

I hope that I have delivered a few information about the Maha Bodhi temple,Gaya and Bodh Gaya.

Thank you, Have a nice day !
