Devprayag
Devprayag is the birth place of river Ganga.River Bhagirathi and Alakanda joins together .Imagine two big rivers joins to form a sangamam named “Devprayag”. And,the origin of Ganga starts. Dark green colored water named Alaknanda merges with light green colored water Bhagirathi. Sangam means joining. I have never seen these kind of merging rivers.
Origin of Ganga – Rishikesh
As we all know Ganga is one of the widest and biggest rivers in India .The Ganga itself has many branches .The two rivers gushing so ferrociously. It is believed that in olden days – the people lived with lack of water.
So they have worshipped lord shiva to get water .And Lord shiv gave them a gift named Ganga. Ganga flows ferociously .It can even wash out everything within seconds.
Flow of Ganga
Ganga flows from Devprayag to Haridwar,Rishikesh etc.So hanging bridges can be seen everywhere in Haridwar and Rishikesh. Some of the hanging bridges are famous for evening Aarthi.
Devprayag is a small town.People who were all going towards Kedarnath will visit this first. This Devprayag lies in between Phata and Haridwar.Everyone will take a single moment of time to see the breathtaking view of those joining rivers.
Devprayag is situated in an uphill. There is a temple in the birthplace of river Ganga. This river flow cannot be stopped even in summer. It will flow rigorously every now and then.
Rishikesh
Rishikesh gives the whole holy vibes and is the land of calmness. A feel of emptiness in a storm. As a mind is bucket full of water ,when the bucket tilt its direction the water would be free. Likewise mind full of worries will wash out if we navigate our way to Rishikesh. Let’s believe in Rishikesh.
Rishikesh is a calm place. Though it also has another side. The adventures of a lifetime can be attained over here. Many adventurous games are being conducted here.
Delhi to Rishikesh
Let’s start the journey. After 7 hours of journey from Delhi via Meerut .The glittering waves of Ganga welcomes. The second when I touched the river Ganga I had a good feeling. The water is icy in nature .It was freezing. The weather was also super cool. Reached Rishikesh.
at 6 p.m night ,It was so soothing near river Ganga. The mountains merges with the divine river Ganga to give an adorable sunset view. The sun plays its role again. The view of everything was damn cool.
Rishikesh – Beyond Mountains
North Indian people don’t have beaches by their side. The mountains and rivers replaces that place of beaches. Near to Ganga’s bank , there was a Litchi shop .I haven’t tasted Litchi before .I just tried Litchi for the first time near to the banks of Ganga. It was tasty though. The white colored fruit with red color covered lining at out.
Ravishing
The night icy breeze kills the tiredness. The chirping sound of birds gives a relaxed feeling. I saw a cute little bird .It was yellow in color with sharp beak. So cute! The little things were giving the full vibe of joy in big form. And yes ,we somehow roamed over the streets of Rishikesh. Roaming on the streets was so good.
River Rafting in Rishikesh
Next morning,8 a.m Let’s go to river rafting. Rishikesh is famous for river rafting. The river rafting stretches up to 12 kilometers. The easy level would end up with 9 kilometers. This will give a thrill vibes. This is an adrenaline stunt. Nothing will happen even though we don’t know swimming.
They were safeguarding. They will speed up the rubber boat. The rubber boat will slide so that everyone will fall into the river ganga. Its a part of river rafting not accident .No need to get panic for that swing.
Rubber boat
It was a super cool experience .Also when the force of water increases the feeling is so hyper .It was awesome. The water was so chill .The ride was overwhelming. The wind strikes so hard with this icy water. Everyone fell down and with the help of a rope they will be back to the rubber boat.
Bungee Jumping
Good staff plus boat ride in Ganga= Wow time .There were many people performing this stunt. Its common. Next to that there are many adventurous games. Bungee jumping is the main game. Rishikesh -bungee jumping is the highest bungee jumping in India .
It will be so good if anyone performs that stunt. I will be terrified .I am a careless person. Meanwhile I am afraid to do these stunts.
Good deeds
I still wonder how people are performing bungee jumping. They might get some body issues or what for some hours ? Many more sports activities are undergone there .Rishikesh would be the best place to enjoy.
Hanging Bridges
The Hanging bridges are common in Rishikesh. Ram Laxman bridge is famous out of those bridges. During every evenings, the aarthi will be taken by the people with huge crowd. This gives whole holy vibes and thrill vibes. Calmness in the evenings and thrill during the mornings.
