Giridih Tourist spots – Parasnath Hill

Jharkhand

Jharkhand is an Indian state situated in eastern side of India .This region belongs to Chota Nagpur plateau. The population of Jharkhand is very less while comparing with other states in India. I just wanted to live a day in a offbeat place in Jharkhand, so chosen this Giridih as my first visit. I’m also excited to discover their culture, habitations, dressing ,food and style. Also I wanted to witness my living with the people of Jharkhand.

Giridih

Giridih is a small town. This town can satisfy our basic needs .More restaurants and stays are available for the outsiders. Everyone are kind there. This town is the heart of all the people living in the hills nearby.

Mountainous regions and trekking are the two best combinations we all love. Let’s start our journey !In this blog we will explore the best trekking experience in a mountainous region named Parasnath hill.

A Hill –Giridih

As this is a part of a hilly area,a few kilometres ahead of Giridih, the land of mountains with a smile welcomes us.As this area is covered by mountains and forests all over we wouldn’t be able to find anyone if we lost them as the tower and signal are weak.

Imagine if we were lost in a vast forest which is surrounded by only mountains and falls ! Isn’t that exciting?

Immense beauty of the majestic mountains plays with white crystalline sunny clouds !I planned for a trek to reach the top of the hill.

4 a.m

Next day Morning, sharp 4 a.m after taking a hot tea in the cold climate. It will be very tough for me to wake up in the morning though the travel somehow beats my laziness. I need to sacrifice my sleep to feel the vibe with nature. So, I will throw my sleep just for this reason alone.

Headphones are the best partner when we travel. It would be more fun when we are travelling with friends and families. Songs hit the situation in different way. That too “Qaafiraana” a song from the movie Kedarnath hits me differently  whenever I travel in mountains.

Moon ‘friend’

Cold breezy wind,good music,moony morning,chit-chats,hot tea -all gave a good feel together.Only few were walking in the uphill steepy steps.It was dark.Sunlight has not yet come.Walked in the uphill with the elegant shades of the moonlight.

Moon is the only companion which will surprise every time. The full dark clouds compilation dark trees on either side with a small pathway to walk. After walking  4 to 5 kilometers .I badly wanted to take rest. As it is a slope we need to spend more energy to lift our body to the uphill. Few minutes of rest again started to walk, sun starts to absorb extra energy.16 kilometers ahead of climbing uphill reached its high altitude. I’m drained as hell.

Healing Mountains– Giridih

Seriously, it was tedious throughout the journey as I was completely drained and exhausted. All my energy has drained even just walking 1 to 2 km as the mountains are too steep and high. But the fresh wind from the forests and mountains gave me breath back and attracted me to its magnificent view.

Alluring Nature– Giridih

It took 7 hours to reach a single peak point. This trek is one of the toughest treks ever. Also the best experience in this one life. Truly each view gave me abundant happiness. The view point from different places are stealing my heart till now. I have no words to explain the each point view. Its damn worth visiting. Nature never stop giving me surprises. The view gave me the vibe of fulfilment “all the huge majestic alluring mountains are so tiny ,just I can count those of my little finger size” WOW Mother Earth!

Unique Habitations

I crossed the bridges in between as the water flow from one corner to another ,waterfalls on the corners ,tiny shops for chilling ,hardworking people taking care of their family ,dad’s love for his daughter ,old lady selling snacks ,loving pets and monkeys !

Hilly region -Workers Life

My eagerness to reach each height and witness each view gave me strength to walk up hill. The viewpoints defeated all sorts of mind oscillations ,hunger ,doubts .. magical !

In the mid afternoon got to see 24 Sid kestras in each small peaks and huge peaks. The people living in the mountains working so hard for their daily wage. If someone wants to visit this place but not able to walk long distance the mountainous people would lift a wooden chair. In a wooden chair a bunch of 4 workers carry a man/woman who are unable to walk. They will carry the man/woman for almost 8 to 9 hours throughout their end of the journey. This hurts so much ,even I can’t able to carry my body and go up hill but they are carrying and going for 8-9 hours at a stretch without taking rest.

Untiring Work

Finally their wage for one journey is 4000-7000.In that also 4 people would share equally. Isn’t this so hard for them to survive and work hard without rest? So pathetic. Though they love what they do. A lesson I had learnt from them. No matter how hard the work is ,if we love it would be nothing!

Their wages depends on the travelers visiting their region.

Cloud Nine

A fine-evening, the clouds over the high altitude captured all the peaks. Heart full of joy I ran beside a few meters from clouds. I tried to touch haha its childish accent though. A walk with clouds gave immense joy for me. Clouds are always so high to us never seen that with a small width. I was on cloud nine with the clouds. One life, let’s travel more! Vanish all worries.
